In his role as the Executive Director, John provides oversight for all of the Agency’s departments. His expertise lies in coordinated entry; the acquisition and execution of federal, state, and local housing programs for the homeless and at risk; Michigan State landlord/tenant laws, eviction proceedings and squatter rights; data reporting and quality; and client service coordination.
John graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies from the University of Washington in 2008, and a Master of Arts in Urban Planning from Wayne State University in 2013. His studies focused on the role that local government cooperation in metropolitan regions can have in addressing concentrated poverty. John is a U.S. Army veteran, who was honorably discharged after completing three years of Active Duty service from March 2001 to March 2004.
